As it is 10 years since the clubhouse reopened (well just after), we decided it was time to invite another international sports star to come along and join us at Consett CC!

This time we are very pleased to welcome rugby player and coach Alan Tait! Alan played both codes of rugby during his career, playing Union for Kelso and Newcastle Falcons. He played League for Widnes and Leeds too. He also had international honours for Scotland and The British and Irish Lions under the Union code as well as representing Scotland and Great Britain under the League banner. His coaching career has seen him involved with the Scottish Rugby Union side, part of the coaching staff at Borders as well as being head coach of the Newcastle Falcons....

We are very pleased to welcome him along to give you an insight into his career as both on and off the field as well as telling a few of the tales that might not always be as well known or have been able to be published in the media. The event is FREE OF CHARGE so make sure you come down early to ensure you get a seat for what promises to be both an informative and enjoyable evening with a fair few laughs thrown in there too!
