Winter Opening Hours

Now that the winter is here there isn't always quite such large demand for opening. We have refined our regular opening hours to reflect this but there also a few social events in the pipeline to keep the place ticking over and hopefully tempt you all along for a catch up once or twice a month.
As of the first weekend the bar will be open on the FIRST AND THIRD Saturays of the month from 8:30pm unless there is a stated social event taking place as listed below. The club will still be open EVERY Monday from 8:30pm

Friday 10th November - Blackhill Bounders (Private Use)
Saturday 18th November - Monthly Quiz - Keith Horn
Monday 20th Nov - AGM 8pm - ALL WELCOME

Friday 1st December - Players Evening 8pm
Saturday 2nd December - Monthly Quiz
Friday 15th December - The Great Escape Christmas Party - Tickets £5, contact Ian Cox or Stephen Turnbull
Sunday 31st December - New Years Eve - 21st Party - Private Function

Saturday 6th January - Ian Atkinson's 'Big Quiz'

We hope to see may of you love the winter months. There is plenty of room for extra functions or social events should anyone require the club for any reason please get in touch with any member of the committee with your request and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs!

All in all - it's just another brick in the wall

The first batch of Bricks for the Brick Appeal have been received and are now proudly displayed in the Clubhouse. We are currently aiming to raise enough through the generosity of people who have bought bricks to enable us to get new carpets throughout the club. Your money will see new carpets installed in the bar and both dressing rooms downstairs as we continue with our mission to offer first class facilities to everyone who visits and uses the club whatever the occasion may be. As ever we are grateful for your generosity and hope to see many more names added over the course of the season.

To purchase a brick to leave a legacy for yourself or a loved one, please see the details below.

Tea Rota 2017
A huge thanks to all of the volunteers who have helped out with providing teas for the teams across the 2017 season. As a club we are always well complimented for the efforts that our tea ladies and gents go to when ensuring that both the home team and the away team are presented with excellent choice and quality for their mid-innings sustenance.

We as a club could not manage without your efforts and we are always thankful. With a bit of luck you will all be happy to get involved again in 2018 and maybe we will even see a few new faces keen to kelp out too!

Junior Training and Coaching Sessions
A big thanks to all who came along throughout the summer for our outdoor sessions. The response was fantastic and the numbers who attended have been the best we have had at Blackfyne for many years. A massive pat on the back to all who attended and huge thanks to all of our coaches and volunteers who made it possible.

Before long we will announce our plans for winter training which will be announced on the website, via social media and communicated from team coaches to let you all know what is happening, when it is happening and where! The season is still a long way off but our committee are already gathering thoughts and putting plans in place for 2018 so that it is as fun and enjoyable for all as it was in 2017. See you all soon!
Sponsorship Opportunities With Consett CC

Many thanks to everyone who sponsored and supported the club in 2017! Whether it was as a match sponsor, cup sponsor or an annual sponsor you contributions are always greatly appreciated.

2017 has been a fantastic season on the field for all four of our senior teams and all three of our junior teams with some brilliant team and individual performances across the board. We have had some outstanding social events across the year so far with more to come before the end of the year for everyone as well as bookings in for private functions in our FREE to use clubhouse.

As in previous years we are making every effort to keep the club financially viable and secure the future of the club for our current members and more importantly our stars of the future. Large efforts are being made to identify local up and coming talent and give them access to the best coaching possible from both our own fully qualified coaches as well as external coaches affiliated to Durham county.

In order to do this we are always looking for any help whether it be with community partners, annual sponsorship, match sponsorship, our in house brick appeal and many more avenues. We offer a wide range of packages depending on what would suit your individual needs depending on whether you are an individual wishing to sponsor a match or a business wishing to advertise their services throughout the year. If you yourself would be interested in any sort of levels of sponsorship or know a person or business who would then please get in contact with us where we would be delighted to give you more details of what we could offer each other.

To get in touch and gain more info please contact one of the following via e-mail;
David - wilkpenshawclose@aol.com
Ian - colonel_cox@live.co.uk
Gary - sixhitter@msn.com
Or alternatively send a message via this page and we will get back to you ASAP

Many thanks for taking the time to read through of this and your time and efforts are very much appreciated by everyone involved at Consett CC, we hope that we will be able to get you all on board in the near future and look forward to seeing you all throughout 2017 and beyond.....
