Thanks to the glorious April showers, and heavy ones at that, there was a vote last night at the NTCL pre-season meeting about what to do with the first round of fixtures due to be played on Saturday 15th April. Many clubs had expressed fears over a lack of available preparation time owing to soaked fields and the clubs voted overwhelmingly to postpone the first round of matches until later in the season. We don't yet know when these games are likely to be played but will keep you all posted once the league have further updated us. 

The season is now due to begin on Saturday 22nd April with the 1st X1 hosting Blaydon at Blackfyne, while the 2nd X1 travel to Denefield to face the same opposition. Crepe Expectations will be at the club on Saturday serving sweet and savoury treats as well as the downstairs bar being open throughout the game. It looks a far better week weather wise, with a full day of sunshine forecast for match day too, so we hope to see plenty of you down supporting when things finally get underway.
