Funniest thing seen on a cricket field: Whilst batting with Sean Kelly a few years ago on a sunny Sunday at Blackfyne he began to struggle to run any quick singles or anything more than a strolled ‘one’ At the end of the over i questioned his laziness only for him to ask was it unusual or acceptable to ask the umpire if he could pop off the field to ‘relieve’ himself. The umpire somewhat amused agreed that this was ok. It soon became apparent this was not a quick visit and three wickets were lost before his return to join me back at the crease welcomed with hilarity from all corners. The moral of the story, none - keep on enjoying your Saturday nights folks and ensure all on a cricket field have the opportunity to share such comedy gold!!
