With only two match weekends to go, the 2026 season is almost at a close. Although there is still plenty happening and we would love to have your support!
Friday 4th sees the return of the monthly quiz after an August hiatus, doors open from 6.30 and all are welcome to have their grey matter put to the test by Aka once more. Entry is £2pp and £1pp for the jackpot round.
Saturday 5th sees the 2nd X1 play their final home game of the season against Haltwhistle from 12.30 with the bar open from 1. Our opponents are hiring a minibus for the trip and planning to stay back for drinks given it's their final away game of the season so it would be great to see the clubhouse full on Saturday night and make our visitors feel welcome. The 1st X1 will be down on North Tyneside as they take on Backworth.
On Sunday 6th, we have our junior presentation from midday onwards. A great time to come together and celebrate all that has been great throughout our NINE junior sides for 2026. The bar will be open and there will be food available for purchase on the day.
Saturday 12th - The final curtain - The 1st X1 host Swalwell and the 2nd X1 travel to Wylam to bring the curtain down on 2026. It would be great to see you all up supporting one last time. It will be your final chance this year to see our 2026 professional, Bandu play at Blackfyne this season. We are sure he might manage a whiskey or two afterwards with you all in the bar afterwards.
THE ANNUAL BAMBURGH TRIP - Sunday 13th is the annual trip to Bamburgh as we put together a select X1 to play in the shadow of the famous castle at one of the most stunning grounds in the country. There is a bus booked but we urgently need to fill more spaces. Places are priced at £12.50 adult and £6.50 child for the trip and anyone is welcome to come along. If you want to come along, you MUST get in touch with Stuart - 07738239735 or Charlotte - 07392856828 ASAP so that we can finalise numbers and ensure that the bus is viable.
