As we are fast approaching the start of the 2023 season, with only 8 weeks until the first competitive spot of leather on willow, we thought we should announce some excellent news for the club!

We are very pleased to announce that local all-rounder, James Radcliffe will be joining us at Blackfyne for the 2023 season. James will be a great fit with the lads already in the team who have all spoken very highly of his abilities as well as his ability to blend in well with his team mates. He has previously played for his home club Burnopfield and our local neighbours Leadgate. 

James will be taking the new ball for the Steelmen with his right arm swing bowling a more than useful asset, which has seen him grab 250 wickets at 23 so far in his career with a best of 7/25. He will also fit into the middle order with ease with 4500 runs under his belt and a highest 1st X1 score of 131 which he made whilst at Burnopfield.

I'm sure you will all wish Jimmy all the very best when you see him around the club ahead of what we hope is going to be an exciting and strong season for our senior teams.
