Just this evening the e-mail we have keenly anticipated since the final day of the HLSCL season arrived in captain Cox's inbox. It was an absolute pleasure to read as it did indeed reveal what we had all been hoping for and that Consett are confirmed as League Champions to go along with the Stan Patterson Salver they had won on August bank holiday Sunday. 

It is of course anyone's guess as to whenever this was last achieved by any of teh club's senior teams but i'm sure it has been a fair while. Massive congratulations to everyone involved throughout the season right from the players, the scorers, the tea ladies and gent, the bar team and of course all those parents and players that came along and supported the team week in week out.

Don't forget all are welcome to the league presentation evening on 31st October but if you wish to go and haven't done so already please inform Ian asap or you will not get a place!

Once again huge congratulations to all and let's hope you can all keep up the good work next season!!!
