Match report A second consecutive 20 point win rubber stamps a great start to the season for the first team. Bedlington batted first and were bowled out for 88 runs after a delayed start at two thirty due to the morning rain. After been drafted in for Mark Dixon, Andrew Cox continued his early season form by taking 3 wickets for 25 in 7 overs.Rob Hasan with an impressive 3 for 15 in 9 overs and Gary Hunter mopped up the tail taking 3 for 4 in 19 balls.
The runs were knocked off steadily by the 31st over with Gary top scoring with 35,John Chapman scoring 17 not out and Dan Milligan seeing us home with two fours through the on side.
With more testing games to come versus Swalwell and Shotley Bridge respectively this is a great start to the 2015 campaign. Kamran Mansoor starts his first game on Saturday and with only Robbie Winn missing and Mark Dixon returning to the squad we will soon be fielding our strongest team. It could be a great year.
