Match report An abject batting performance allowed Sacristan to coast to an easy win as no one other than Nick Cook who smashed an excellent unbeaten 78 could get to grips with the Sacriston bowlers for whom L Small took a hat-trick with all three dismissals clean bowled on his way to figures of 4-33.

In reply Consett could only manage two wickets as Sacristan coasted to their target inside 16 overs with Mark Roe taking the two wickets to fall, one courtesy of a stunning diving catch at square leg from Nathan Smith to remove Stephenson who had already made 52.

7 of the Consett batsman dismissed clean bowled suggests much work needs to be done in learning how to stop the straight one and allow themselves to score off the loose deliveries. Hopefully a much better performance will be on display in the teams next game which is at home to Percy Main next week!
